FIFA is fully committed to targeted prevention and widespread education in its fight against doping, which has no place in football and is a menace to every sport around the world.

FIFA’s approach is: say no to doping!

Which is why it aims to spread awareness of the dangers and consequences of doping among athletes, coaches, officials and doctors as well as parents and teachers. It is important that young players find out about the subject so as not to put themselves, their careers or even their lives in jeopardy. Awareness of the dangers of doping is crucial to minimising the risk, e.g. by not unknowingly taking a prohibited substance.

All athletes should take it upon themselves to regularly find out about doping in general and banned substances in particular from WADA, associations and doctors.

Regardless of the challenges facing a player or team, doping is never an option.
